Help & Feedback

How have the algorithms been developed?

The e-Guide is based on the ECCO Consensus Guidelines. A team of contributors developed and reviewed the visualization of these guidelines as algorithm.

How up-to-date are the algorithms?

At the bottom of each algorithm it states when the algorithm was last revised. ECCO statements are the latest statements available at the time of this revision. These are currently 2014 statements except where explicitly stated.

I think an algorithm can be improved. Who do I tell?

Our aim is to continuously improve the e-Guide over the coming months. If you would like to get involved, let us know on the feedback form. This will notify the ECCO office of your interest.

Is there an easy way to print the algorithms? They don’t seem to print well.

We know about this issue and it is next on our to-do list. We expect to have downloadable and printable pdfs of the algorithms available shortly.

The algorithms look a bit "squashed" when I view them on my phone. Can I improve how they look?

We have optimized the site for desktop and tablet devices, such as iPads. However displaying algorithms clearly on the typical screen size of a mobile phone is a little trickier. As such you may have to zoom in and out to navigate the algorithms fully. We will continue to work on this in the future.

What do the different colours on the algorithm mean?

In general, red boxes signify therapeutic interventions, such as treatments. Blue boxes signify investigations, such as endoscopy, or disease status, such as remission. If you have ideas on how to improve the visualization, please let us know.

When do you plan to add more algorithms?

Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis algorithms are currently available. We also plan to add additional resources and information in the coming months.
